Winter Solstice Meditation

I am delighted to share my Winter Solstice Meditation with you.   As we honour the dark, and welcome the light, let’s begin by closing our eyes…

Take a deep breath in, hold, breathe out…

Notice the darkness. Relax into its peace, quiet, stillness.  Here your roots run deep.  Here you are safe, grounded and lovingly nourished.  Allow yourself to sink deeper into the darkness, completely relaxing your entire body, as you breathe in, hold, and breathe out.

Now, I’d like you to imagine that you are up among the stars, looking down upon the Earth.  Our Earth is a beautiful, wondrous, blue-green planet, teeming with life.

Imagine that you have the power to create a new world on Earth… where all of human-kind, nature, animals, plants, oceans, mountains… live harmoniously with one another.  Visualize what that would look like… what would you see… what would you hear?  Hold this vision lovingly in your heart.

Now breathe in, hold, and breathe out.

Breathe in the light from the stars, the moon, the sun. Breathe out love.

As you breathe in, the light fills every cell of your body.  As you breathe out, release your vision of a better world into the universe. 

Breathe in light, to illuminate the darkness. Breathe out love, to nourish and heal the world.

Now feel the warmth of the light circulating through your body.  Wiggle your fingers and toes.  When you are ready, gently open your eyes.
